Why I Own Goldfish
Wow. Wow. Wow. I try not to be jaded. I try to walk through this world with my eyes open, and Extreme Craft is a reflection of that. I'll admit that occasionally I can fall into a rut where I feel like I've seen it all before. I can usually count on somebody like Sandra Hartness (aka "Sandy Paws") coming into my life. When my friend Henry posted this on the Chunklet.com website, every molecule in my brain that was feeling jaded had every jaded sub-atomic particle blown apart. I can now walk through life with an open mind again.
Ms. Hartness has won seven first place awards for her designs, which she always executes (and I don't use that word lightly) on her pet poodle, Cindy. Each design must be done in just 2 1/2 hours. Hartman uses run-of-the-mill hair colors like Manic Panic and Punky Colors for her palette. She spends a bunch of time in a telegraph.co.uk article that I found defending herself to critics who accuse her of dog abuse. I've spent quite a bit of time around poodles, and I can definitively tell you that if they get extra attention, they'd gladly dress up as housecats or toaster ovens.
The hits just keep coming! I found pictures of Cindy dressed as a dragon, Jackson Pollock, a hippie, a snail and a peacock. If you're a fan of anachronistic web design, take some time to peruse Sandra's website. Each page is lovingly and bafflingly rendered with its own special colors and graphics. My hat goes off to you, Sandra Hartness...and while it's off, you might start considering what you could do with my mop of hair.
christ on a crutch! i hope she keeps that thing on a leash.
