I'm sitting at home on a Friday night, working on an article for Etsy.com on great Father's Day gifts. I had to pause and share Tom Banwell's leather masks with the world. Since I've been obsessing about Maker Faire, I might as well mention that he'll be setting up shop there, and you can buy some of his steampunkier creations. In the meantime, you'll have to make do with his Etsy store, which is filled with all manner of faerie, unicorn and animal masks...plus a great cannibus headband that just might make me the king of Humboldt County if I order it.

"Orientation" - New Work From China
- This body of work was created during a Summer 2010 residency at the Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen, China. These porcelain vessels explore traditional Chinese iconography as refracted through a decidedly Western point of view.
