Are frogs raining from the sky yet? Here I am doing something I would never do--writing about American Craft Magazine on Extreme Craft. Why would you write about that dowdy old magazine for leathery Palm Beach ladies with turquoise jewelry, you ask? It's because American Craft is no longer (exclusively) your Aunt Yvette's American Craft.
The magazine just hired Andrew Weber (of Dwell Magazine fame) to be its new editor, and they gave everything a stem-to-stern makeover. The new issue looks amazing, and is packed with content that you would actually want to read, including an article on Mariska Karasz and a review (why oh why didn't I think of this name first) of the Pulp Function exhibition at the Fuller Craft Museum. Still not convinced? Check out their awesome "virtual" preview at their website.
