Okay. While I'm on the subject of cardboard, I'll throw out a plug for one of the best design objects I've seen in ages. Dutch designers Erik van Loo and Peggy van Neer go by the name of "SNURK" (which means "snore" in Dutch). They have designed "Le Clochard", a cozy duvet cover digitally printed with a high resolution scan of cardboard boxes. Now, you can look like a total, spartan badass to all of your friends while really snuggling down in the finest Pakastani cotton. The duvet covers are produced in a (non-sweatshop) Pakastani factory out of sustainable materials, and all profits from the project benefit a Dutch homeless chairity.
Kudow to Snurk for actually making their work easily available. You can buy Le Clochard at DutchByDesign.com.
